The maintenance, tech, and cafeteria staff have worked very hard over the summer and made a big change in our cafeteria service line. The maintenance staff installed new pieces of equipment in the serving line and added some electrical plugins for serving line to work effectively. Cafeteria staff attended training on the new lunch system that tracks what the students have been eating and how much money is in their account. They also had to rearrange staff to start serving the students their food. Remember, with the old serving line the students served themselves. The tech staff installed a new machine at the end of the line allowing us to have two lines for students to be able to get their food faster.
After our first week our students, teachers, custodians, and cafeteria staff have adjusted well to the new line and procedures. Students are learning their lunch numbers and are able to enter them faster and cafeteria staff made a few adjustments to make them more efficient.
