ISTEP Tips and schedule

ISTEP TIPS FOR PARENTS

1. Make sure your children are present every day and all day for ISTEP testing.

2. If you want your child to do well, then make sure they are well rested. Please have your child to bed early during ISTEP testing.

3. Students need a good dinner the night before and a good breakfast for the added thinking power and energy required to take the test. Make sure they eat before they leave for school in the morning. Protein such as eggs, cheese, meat, or peanut butter is good choices for dinner and breakfast.

4. Encourage your child to do their best. Let them know you will be proud of them whatever they score… as long as they try to do their very best!

5. If your child regularly takes medication, make sure that their prescription does not run out during testing.

Indiana Children's Honor's Choir

Four Elementary Choir members participated in the Indiana Children’s Honors Choir in Fort Wayne January 20-21. They were selected from over 700 audition tapes from choir students all over the state of Indiana. They joined their voices with 140 musicians from Indiana. After two intense days of rehearsal, they performed a spectacular concert for their parents and friends and IMEA attendees. Those students participating were Madison Millick, Ashtynn Powell, Haydyn House, and Maggie Booe.
A special thank you goes to their parents for transporting their child and supporting music in our school!
