5th grade students, parents, teachers, and community members celebrated the DARE program with a graduation ceremony. Guest speakers Troy Jerrell, Linton Police Chief, Tom Jones, Mayor of Linton, and Jared Holtsclaw, Greene County Prosecutor spoke to the students. 5th grade teachers passed out certificates. Camryn Huffman and Alijah Vestal were recognized for the essays and all 5th grade students pledged to be drug free. The program was great and the students were fantastic. This celebration is just another example of Linton - Stockton Elementary students being "The Best of the Best"!

SEEK Lego Team Presents to School Board

The SEEK Lego team did an excellent job of presenting to the School Board. They explained to the board about their Lego Robotic competition they were involved in and how they designed and programed their robot. Our team did an excellent job of presenting and sharing with the board. A special thanks goes out to the parents that supported the students and to Mrs. Anderson for sponsoring the team.

The Lego team is excited about getting to participate again next year at the competition; however, they explained to the board that they will have to get a new kind of robot to compete next year. The Lego robot they had for this year is out dated and will have to be replaced with a newer version. If you are interested in helping the team out with a donation to purchase a new robot you may contact Mrs. Anderson at Linton-Stockton Elementary (812)-847-6039.
